I've tried all the others and just find jQuery to be the best overall. I've made it the standard in my department.

I have used most of them excluding Spry, and JQuery seems to have become the standard, replacing Prototype in the process. If you google for benchmarks on the various libraries, for example http://is.gd/2lpKW , Prototype comes bottom performance wise - meaning it may not be the most future-proof choice.

Personally I quite like MooTools, but if you want to pick a popular, easy to learn, powerful, and efficient library JQuery is the way to go.

jQuery. Just started learning it after a long period of testing a number of different libraries. Seems like it has the widest adoption of them all. Also, I like the fact that it's available via Google CDN and has a large following. Finding solutions to problems is fast and easy. The jQuery UI library is relatively new but makes implementing and styling UI component incredibly simple.

Also check out the new BBC Glow which has been influenced by jQuery. Will take some time to mature though. www.bbc.co.uk/glow

Personally I prefer the design of Prototype over the others, although some people think it's evil because it apparently does naughty things to the built in JavaScript types.
