Adobe Browserlab – How Cool is this!

Have you seen Adobe Browserlab yet? I first saw this about a year ago when it was code named Meer Meer and have been patiently waiting for it to be released to the public.
What is Browserlab?
It is a Flash application that allows you to test your website in multiple browser emulations. You can look at one at a time, or two different browsers side by side, or even onion skin them so you can see the differences.
As a test of this new service I brought up my recent Merapi post within Browserlab and found some errors in my blog that show themselves only in certain browsers.
Check out the image below and you will notice that there is an orphaned comment tag that is showing in the Safari 3.0 – OSX browser on the right but not the FireFox 3.0 – OS X on the left. I found some additional issues with IE6 as well.
Supported browsers are:
- Firefox 2.0 – Windows XP
- Firefox 2.0 – OS X
- Firefox 3.0 – Windows XP
- Firefox 3.0 – OS X
- Internet Explorer 6.0 – Windows XP
- Internet Explorer 7.0 – Windows XP
- Safari 3.0 – OS X

Adobe Browserlab is a good start, but still can not compete with sites like browsercam.com or litmusapp.com. However if this remains a free, high performing service that will be a great thing.

Please check http://www.browserseal.com/ – although it supports less browsers, it can easily beat BrowserLab in terms of speed.
