Name that Tool (Thermo)

Adobe has been working on the new Thermo RIA design tool for a while know. It was first publicly demonstrated at MAX 2007 in Chicago. Well, Thermo is a code name for the project and Adobe hasn’t yet revealed what the actual name will be.
So my question to you is, what should they name it?
Here are some of my thoughts.
- Adobe RIAshop – eh, like Photoshop
- Adobe RAD – Rapid Application Designer
OK, I admit, those are pretty weak, so what would you name it?

I hope it’s not “fire” or “earth”, maybe “water” ? What about “Spoutnik” ?
=P

I would call it Adobe Revolutions.

Boring but I bet it’s something like Flex Designer.

If I got a vote, I would vote for Thermo. There’s nothing wrong with keeping the code name – that’s where Dreamweaver came from – and as was demonstrated by changing Apollo to AIR, Adobe clearly has lost all ability to come up with decent product names.

Personally, I like Thermo! I think, for once, they should stick with the code name.

My guess would be something along the lines of “Flex Designer”

I agree. I’m pretty sure it will be something somewhat lame. My guess is Flex Graphic Designer (FGD) or something. Two thumbs up for Thermo, mostly because I think that icon is sweet.

Hmm.. well I think that they need continuity with their brandnames – and they’ve kept that. Photoshop, Illustrator, etc… Flex was a break from the rules, largely part due to the fact it was of Macromedia breeding stock. So how about something to bring these two genelines together? What about:
Adobe: Interface
Tells you what it is and what it does all without saying anything.

I like Thermo as well. But, I also liked Apollo. However, I know that the name will not be Thermo so I guess we will have to wait and see what Adobe comes up with.

Is there any supposed release date? Thermo would come in real handy if released very soon, even if in beta

Shame. I keep lookout as it’s the one application I’m most looking forward to (besides Flex Builder 4).

AIR is a wonderful name, and so is Thermo, but I’d have to go with and vote for ‘Adobe Revelations’

How about Flexpression Studio? j/k
In all seriousness, maybe something like Adobe Rich Interface Architect, which could be then called Adobe RIA for short.
