I have updated the ConnectionManager and UpdateManager classes to work with AIR beta 3. I have also provided an example integrating both the ConnectionManager and UpdateManager here.

AIR & Flex 3 Beta 3 are now availble for public download.
Adobe labs has also publicly introduced BlazeDS which is defined as:
BlazeDS is the server-based Java remoting and web messaging technology that enables developers to easily connect to back-end distributed data and push data in real-time to Adobe® Flex™ and Adobe AIR™ applications for more responsive rich Internet application (RIA) experiences.
The Dreamweaver CS3 AIR extension has also been updated for beta 3.
So all we are missing is the Flash CS3 update for AIR beta 3.
